Happy 75th Birthday Jan!

Today is my Favorite Mother-in-Law's 75th Birthday! We had a surprise birthday party for her. All 7 of her sons were there and her sister, Toots, who will be saying good-bye to her husband of 50+ years any day now and put him in hospice the day before, came from Tucson. We had a huge waterslide in the back yard that the kiddos got to play on and one of Jan's favorite things in the whole world, Karaoke, was also there!

The party was catered by someone Greg (Rob's oldest brother) knew and it was so good! I have never tasted catering this good before!

Rob's middle brother, Ken, proposed to his girlfriend during the party.

The party was a great hit, and Jan had the time of her life!

Happy Birthday Mom! We Love You!

SCATTERGORIES...

I got this from my friend Brenda's blog. It's kind of fun!

It's harder than it looks! Use the 1st letter of your name (that you go by) to answer each of the following. They have to be real places, names, things, nothing made up! Try to use different answers if the person in front of you had the same 1st initial. You CAN'T use your name for the
boy/girl name question.

Leave your answers in the comment section or do it on your own Blog!

First Week of School

Welcome to the Smith family Blog! Hopefully this stays updated and I have interesting stuff to share with all of you!

The boys have started school and that means I have to go back to work! Very depressing as I have never been able to have time off during the summer since I was 16 years old! This year was the first time I ever took time off, and got to spend every day with my boys. It was fabulous! They even liked me by the end of summer! Last year, I worked 40+ hours and my husband was on sabbatical. It was, by far, the worst summer of my entire life. I would hear everyone in the other end of the house as I would be sitting at my desk.
